Low-Cable Pull-In
Trains the abdominals. You need a machine. One of our free programs uses it, across 6 sessions.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
How to do the Low-Cable Pull-In
- Buckle a lifting belt into a loop and clip it to the low pulley of a cable machine.
- Lie on your back on the floor in front of the machine, feet towards the pulley, and hook both feet into the belt with your legs straight.
- Keeping your lower back on the floor, pull your knees in towards your chest against the cable.
- Pause briefly, then slowly straighten your legs back to the start with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Let your abdominals do the pulling: keep your hips and lower back down rather than swinging your legs.
- Lower slowly; do not let the stack pull your legs out.
- Exhale as you pull your knees in and inhale as you straighten your legs.
