What Iso-Lateral Chest Press (Machine) trains
How to do the Iso-Lateral Chest Press (Machine)
- Adjust the seat of the iso-lateral chest press machine so the handles are level with your mid-chest. Sit with your back firmly against the backrest and grasp a handle in each hand.
- Press both handles forward until your arms are fully extended, keeping a slight bend in your elbows.
- Slowly return the handles to the starting position with control, keeping tension on your chest.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your back and head against the backrest throughout the movement.
- Each arm works independently, so press both sides evenly and address any strength imbalance.
- Exhale as you press the handles forward and inhale as you return them.
- Avoid locking your elbows at full extension to keep tension on your chest.
