Elliptical Trainer
Trains cardio. You need a machine. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app logs the distance and the time, and remembers every session.
None of our programs use the Elliptical Trainer
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a cardio exercise that is, there are 6 on the Cardio page.
How to do the Elliptical Trainer
- Step onto the elliptical trainer and place your feet flat on the pedals, grasping the moving handles with both hands.
- Begin pedaling in a smooth, forward motion, pushing and pulling the handles in rhythm with your legs.
- Maintain an upright posture with your core engaged, and settle into a steady pace or follow your chosen program.
- Continue for the desired duration, then slow down gradually before stepping off.
Getting it right
- Keep your weight evenly distributed through your feet and avoid leaning heavily on the handles.
- Adjust the resistance and incline to keep your effort challenging but sustainable.
- Maintain a tall posture with relaxed shoulders to avoid lower back strain.
- Breathe steadily and rhythmically throughout the session.
Swap Elliptical Trainer for
The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.
Let the app run the Elliptical Trainer for you
Durata logs the distance and the time, and keeps last session's figures in front of you, so you always know what you are chasing. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
