None of our programs use the Woodchopper (Cable)

It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.

How to do the Woodchopper (Cable)

  1. Set a cable pulley at about chest height and attach a handle. Stand side-on to the machine with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart and hold the handle with both hands, arms long.
  2. Brace your core and rotate your torso away from the machine, pulling the handle across your body and down towards your far hip.
  3. Let your back foot pivot as you turn, keeping your arms fairly straight.
  4. Return slowly to the start. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
