Durata/Exercises/Skiing

Skiing

Trains cardio. No equipment needed. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.

Free to use. The app logs the distance and the time, and remembers every session.

None of our programs use Skiing

It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a cardio exercise that is, there are 6 on the Cardio page.

How to do Skiing

  1. Secure your boots into the bindings and hold a pole in each hand, standing with your knees slightly bent and your weight centered over your skis.
  2. Begin moving by pushing off with your poles or gliding downhill, keeping your knees flexed and your torso leaning slightly forward.
  3. Control your speed and direction by shifting your weight from edge to edge, turning your skis smoothly across the slope.
  4. Continue skiing at a steady effort for the desired duration, resting as needed between runs.

Getting it right

Swap Skiing for

The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.

Let the app run Skiing for you

Durata logs the distance and the time, and keeps last session's figures in front of you, so you always know what you are chasing. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
