Ski Erg
Trains cardio. You need a machine. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app logs the distance and the time, and remembers every session.
None of our programs use the Ski Erg
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a cardio exercise that is, there are 6 on the Cardio page.
How to do the Ski Erg
- Stand facing the ski erg with your feet hip-width apart and take a handle in each hand, arms raised.
- Pull both handles down together, hinging at your hips and bending your knees slightly as your arms drive down past your thighs.
- Let the handles rise as you stand back up tall, reaching your arms back up.
- Keep a steady rhythm for the set time or distance.
Getting it right
- Use your whole body: start the pull with your arms, then add the hinge.
- Keep your core braced and your back flat as you hinge.
- Breathe in rhythm with each pull.
- Adjust the damper to set how heavy each pull feels.
Swap Ski Erg for
The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.
Let the app run the Ski Erg for you
Durata logs the distance and the time, and keeps last session's figures in front of you, so you always know what you are chasing. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
