Reverse Grip Triceps Pushdown
Trains the triceps. You need a machine. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
How to do the Reverse Grip Triceps Pushdown
- Stand facing the cable machine with an EZ bar attached to the high pulley. Grasp the EZ bar with both hands using an underhand grip (palms facing up), hands shoulder-width apart.
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, keeping your back straight and elbows close to your body. Your forearms should be parallel to the floor.
- Push the EZ bar down towards your thighs by straightening your elbows, keeping your upper arms stationary.
- Slowly return to the starting position with control, allowing your forearms to become parallel to the floor again. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your elbows close to your body and avoid moving your upper arms.
- Focus on squeezing your triceps at the bottom of the movement.
- Exhale as you push the bar down and inhale as you return to the starting position.
