Torso Rotation
Trains the abdominals. You need a machine. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Torso Rotation
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.
What Torso Rotation trains
How to do the Torso Rotation
- Sit on the torso rotation machine and adjust the pads so they rest securely against your upper body. Select an appropriate weight and grasp the handles.
- Keeping your hips and legs stationary, rotate your torso to one side against the resistance in a slow, controlled motion.
- Pause briefly at the end of the rotation, feeling the contraction in your obliques.
- Slowly return to the center with control. Complete the desired number of repetitions, then switch to the other side.
Getting it right
- Rotate through your core, not your arms; the movement should come from your obliques.
- Keep your hips fixed and avoid twisting your lower body.
- Use a slow, controlled tempo in both directions rather than swinging through the range.
- Exhale as you rotate against the resistance and inhale as you return to center.
Swap Torso Rotation for
The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.
Let the app run the Torso Rotation for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
