What Sit Up trains

Front

How to do the Sit Up

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Cross your arms over your chest or place your hands lightly behind your ears.
  2. Engage your core and curl your torso upward, lifting your shoulders and back off the floor until your chest approaches your knees.
  3. Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
  4. Slowly lower your torso back to the floor with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Swap Sit Up for

The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.

Let the app run the Sit Up for you

Durata times your rest and puts last session's reps in front of you, so you always know the number to beat. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
