Single Arm Cable Crossover
Trains the chest. You need a machine. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Single Arm Cable Crossover
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a chest exercise that is, there are 14 on the Chest page.
What Single Arm Cable Crossover trains
How to do the Single Arm Cable Crossover
- Set a cable pulley to shoulder height or slightly above. Stand sideways to the machine with your feet staggered, grasping the handle with the hand farthest from the machine, arm extended out to your side with a slight bend in your elbow.
- Pull the handle across your body in a wide arc until your hand reaches the front of your chest on the opposite side.
- Squeeze your chest at the point of peak contraction.
- Slowly return your arm to the starting position with control, feeling a stretch across your chest. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
Getting it right
- Keep your torso still and avoid rotating your body to move the weight.
- Maintain the same slight bend in your elbow throughout the movement.
- Exhale as you pull the handle across and inhale as you return it.
- Focus on squeezing your chest rather than pulling with your arm.

Let the app run the Single Arm Cable Crossover for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
