How to do the Hip Thrust (Machine)

  1. Sit on the hip thrust machine with your upper back against the back pad and your feet flat on the platform, shoulder-width apart. Secure the resistance pad or belt across your hips.
  2. Drive through your heels to extend your hips upward until your body forms a straight line from your shoulders to your knees.
  3. Squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement and hold for a brief moment.
  4. Lower your hips back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
