Archer Push Up
Trains the chest, with help from the triceps and shoulders. No equipment needed. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Archer Push Up
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a chest exercise that is, there are 14 on the Chest page.
What Archer Push Up trains
How to do the Archer Push Up
- Start in a push-up position with your hands much wider than shoulder-width apart and your body in a straight line from head to heels.
- Bend your right elbow to lower your chest towards your right hand, keeping your left arm straight out to the side.
- Push back up to the start.
- Lower towards your left hand with your right arm straight. Keep alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your shoulders and hips level; don't twist as you lower.
- The straight arm only steadies you; the bent arm does the pressing.
- Exhale as you push up and inhale as you lower.
- Raise your hands on a bench to make it easier while you build up.

Let the app run the Archer Push Up for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
