V Up
Trains the abdominals. No equipment needed. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the V Up
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.
What V Up trains
How to do the V Up
- Lie flat on your back on the floor with your legs and arms extended so that your body forms a straight line.
- Simultaneously lift your legs and torso off the floor, reaching your hands towards your feet to form a 'V' shape with your body.
- Squeeze your abdominal muscles at the top of the movement, ensuring your hands reach towards your feet.
- Slowly lower your legs and torso back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Breathe steadily: exhale as you lift into the 'V' position and inhale as you lower back down.
- Avoid using momentum to lift your legs and torso; focus on using your abdominal muscles.
- Keep your legs and arms straight throughout the movement for maximum effectiveness.
Swap V Up for
The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.
Let the app run the V Up for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
