What Triceps Extension (Suspension) trains
How to do the Triceps Extension (Suspension)
- Face away from the anchor point of the suspension trainer and grasp a handle in each hand with an overhand grip. Extend your arms in front of you at shoulder height and lean forward into the straps.
- Keeping your body in a straight line, bend your elbows to lower your head between your hands, letting your hands travel above your head.
- Stop when your elbows are fully bent, keeping your upper arms pointing forward.
- Extend your elbows to press your body back to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your body rigid from head to heels; do not let your hips sag.
- Keep your elbows pointing forward and close together rather than flaring out.
- Walk your feet back to increase the difficulty or forward to decrease it.
- Exhale as you extend your arms and inhale as you bend your elbows.
