None of our programs use the Skater Squat
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a quadriceps exercise that is, there are 16 on the Quadriceps page.
What Skater Squat trains
How to do the Skater Squat
- Stand on your right foot with your left knee bent so your left foot is behind you, off the floor. Reach your arms straight out in front of you.
- Bend your right knee and hip to lower yourself, leaning your chest forward as your left knee travels back towards the floor.
- Lower until your left knee is just above the floor, keeping your right heel down.
- Push through your right foot to stand back up. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch legs.
Getting it right
- Your arms are a counterweight: reach them forward as you lower to stay balanced.
- Keep your standing knee in line with your toes.
- Lower slowly and only as far as you can control; a pad under the back knee helps at first.
- Inhale as you lower and exhale as you stand.

Let the app run the Skater Squat for you
