None of our programs use the Lying Leg Raise
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.
What Lying Leg Raise trains
How to do the Lying Leg Raise
- Lie flat on your back with your legs extended and your arms at your sides, palms facing down firm on the floor.
- Engage your core muscles and press your lower back into the floor.
- Keeping your legs straight, lift them up towards the ceiling until they are perpendicular to the floor.
- Slowly lower your legs back to the starting position with control, stopping just before they touch the floor. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Exhale as you lift your legs up and inhale as you lower them back down.
- Keep your legs as straight as possible for maximum effectiveness.
- Focus on engaging your abdominal muscles throughout the movement.
