None of our programs use the Lying Knee Raise
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.
What Lying Knee Raise trains
How to do the Lying Knee Raise
- Lie flat on your back with your legs extended and your arms at your sides, palms facing down. Place your hands under your hips for support if needed.
- Engage your core and draw your knees up toward your chest by bending your hips and knees, lifting your feet off the floor.
- Pause briefly when your knees are above your hips.
- Slowly extend your legs back out, lowering your feet toward the floor without letting them touch down. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your lower back pressed into the floor throughout to avoid strain.
- Move slowly and with control rather than using momentum.
- Exhale as you draw your knees in and inhale as you extend your legs.
- Keep your feet hovering just above the floor between repetitions to maintain tension in your abdominals.
