Durata/Exercises/L-Sit Hold

L-Sit Hold

Trains the abdominals. No equipment needed. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.

Free to use. The app times the hold, times your rest and remembers every set.

None of our programs use the L-Sit Hold

It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.

What L-Sit Hold trains

Front

How to do the L-Sit Hold

  1. Sit on the floor between parallettes or push-up handles, or position yourself on the floor with your hands flat beside your hips, fingers pointing forward.
  2. Press down through your hands to lift your hips off the floor, keeping your arms straight and shoulders pressed down.
  3. Extend both legs straight out in front of you, parallel to the floor, so your body forms an L shape.
  4. Hold the position for the desired duration, keeping your core braced, then lower yourself back down with control.

Getting it right

Swap L-Sit Hold for

The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.

Let the app run the L-Sit Hold for you

Durata times the hold, times your rest and puts last session's time in front of you, so you always know the number to beat. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
