Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Front Raise (Cable)
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a shoulders exercise that is, there are 11 on the Shoulders page.
What Front Raise (Cable) trains
How to do the Front Raise (Cable)
- Attach a straight bar or single handle to the low pulley of a cable machine. Stand facing away from the machine with the cable running between your legs, holding the attachment in front of your thighs with an overhand grip.
- Keeping your arms straight, raise the attachment forward and upward until your hands reach shoulder height.
- Pause briefly at the top, then slowly lower the attachment back to the starting position with control.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Maintain a slight bend in your elbows to protect the joints.
- Avoid using momentum or leaning back; lift with your shoulders only.
- The cable keeps constant tension on the muscle, so control the lowering phase fully.
- Exhale as you raise the weight and inhale as you lower it.
