None of our programs use the Deadlift High Pull
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a full body exercise that is, there are 12 on the Full Body page.
How to do the Deadlift High Pull
- Place a barbell on the floor in front of you. Stand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart and your toes pointed slightly outward.
- Hinge at your hips and bend your knees to lower your body, grip the barbell with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
- Push through your heels to lift the barbell off the floor, extending your hips and knees simultaneously. As you reach the standing position, pull the barbell upward towards your chin by bending your elbows and keeping them pointed outward.
- Lower the barbell back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Use a weight that allows you to maintain proper form throughout the exercise.
- Push through your heels to maximize power and stability.
- Ensure your knees track over your toes to prevent knee strain.
