How to do the Chest Supported Y Raise (Dumbbell)

  1. Set an incline bench to roughly a 45-degree angle and lie chest-down against it, holding a light dumbbell in each hand with your arms hanging straight down, palms facing each other.
  2. Raise the dumbbells up and forward at roughly a 45-degree angle from your body, forming a Y shape with your arms, until they are in line with your torso.
  3. Pause briefly at the top, keeping your thumbs pointing up.
  4. Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
