Bicycle Crunch
Trains the abdominals. No equipment needed. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Bicycle Crunch
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.
What Bicycle Crunch trains
How to do the Bicycle Crunch
- Lie flat on your back with your hands lightly behind your head, elbows out, and your knees bent with your feet off the floor and shins parallel to the floor.
- Lift your shoulder blades off the floor and rotate your torso to bring your right elbow toward your left knee while extending your right leg out straight.
- Rotate to the other side, bringing your left elbow toward your right knee while extending your left leg.
- Continue alternating sides in a smooth pedaling motion for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Avoid pulling on your neck with your hands; keep the rotation driven by your core.
- Move slowly and deliberately rather than rushing through repetitions.
- Keep your lower back pressed into the floor throughout the movement.
- Exhale each time your elbow meets your knee and inhale as you switch sides.
Swap Bicycle Crunch for
The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.
Let the app run the Bicycle Crunch for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
