Windshield Wipers
Trains the abdominals. No equipment needed. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use Windshield Wipers
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a abdominals exercise that is, there are 9 on the Abdominals page.
What Windshield Wipers trains
How to do Windshield Wipers
- Lie on your back with your arms out to the sides, palms down. Lift your legs so your hips and knees are bent at 90 degrees.
- Keeping your knees together and your shoulders flat, lower your knees to the right until they are just above the floor.
- Bring them back up to the middle.
- Lower them to the left, then back to the middle. Keep alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep both shoulders on the floor; your arms stop you rolling.
- Move slowly and use your obliques, not momentum.
- Straighten your legs to make it harder once the bent-knee version is easy.
- Exhale as you bring your legs back to the middle.

Let the app run Windshield Wipers for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
