Tyre Flip
Trains the full body. Equipment varies. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Tyre Flip
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a full body exercise that is, there are 12 on the Full Body page.
How to do the Tyre Flip
- Stand close to a large tyre with your feet hip-width apart. Squat down, chest against the tyre, and get your fingers under its edge with your palms up.
- Drive through your legs and hips to lift the tyre, pushing forward into it as it rises.
- As it passes waist height, step in, turn your hands over and push it the rest of the way over.
- Reset and repeat for the desired number of flips.
Getting it right
- Lift with your legs and hips like a deadlift, not by curling with your arms.
- Keep your chest against the tyre as you drive forward and up.
- Keep your back flat; reset your position before every flip.
- Pick a tyre you can flip with good form, and clear the space in front of you.
Swap Tyre Flip for
The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.
Let the app run the Tyre Flip for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
