How to do the Sternum Pull up (Gironda)

  1. Grasp a pull-up bar with an underhand or overhand grip, hands about shoulder-width apart, and hang with your arms fully extended.
  2. Pull your body upward while leaning your torso back, arching your spine and driving your chest towards the bar.
  3. Continue pulling until your sternum touches or nearly touches the bar, with your torso close to parallel with the floor at the top.
  4. Lower yourself back to the starting position with control, straightening your body as you descend. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
