Pike Pushup
Trains the triceps, with help from the shoulders. No equipment needed. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Pike Pushup
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a triceps exercise that is, there are 12 on the Triceps page.
What Pike Pushup trains
How to do the Pike Pushup
- Begin in a push-up position, then walk your feet toward your hands and lift your hips high so your body forms an inverted V shape, with your arms and legs as straight as possible.
- Bend your elbows to lower the top of your head toward the floor between your hands, keeping your hips high.
- Pause briefly just before your head touches the floor.
- Push through your palms to extend your arms and return to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your hips high throughout the movement; the more vertical your torso, the more your shoulders work.
- Lower yourself with control and keep your elbows tracking at about a 45-degree angle.
- Exhale as you push up and inhale as you lower down.
- Elevate your feet on a bench to increase the difficulty as you get stronger.

Let the app run the Pike Pushup for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
