How to do the Hammer Curl (Cable)

  1. Attach a rope to the low pulley of a cable machine. Stand facing the machine with your feet shoulder-width apart, grasping the rope ends with a neutral grip (palms facing each other) and your arms extended down.
  2. Keeping your elbows close to your sides, curl the rope upward toward your shoulders by bending your elbows.
  3. Squeeze your biceps and forearms at the top of the movement, keeping your palms facing each other throughout.
  4. Slowly lower the rope back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
