None of our programs use the Floor Triceps Dip
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a triceps exercise that is, there are 12 on the Triceps page.
What Floor Triceps Dip trains
How to do the Floor Triceps Dip
- Sit on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat. Place your hands on the floor behind you, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, with your fingers pointing toward your body.
- Press through your palms to lift your hips off the floor, supporting your weight on your hands and feet.
- Bend your elbows to lower your hips toward the floor without touching it, keeping your elbows pointing backward.
- Push through your palms to extend your elbows and raise your hips back up. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your elbows pointing backward, not flaring out to the sides, to target the triceps.
- Keep your hips close to your hands throughout to keep the load on your arms.
- Exhale as you press up and inhale as you lower down.
- Perform the movement slowly and with control to avoid straining your shoulders.

Let the app run the Floor Triceps Dip for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
