Drag Curl
Trains the biceps. You need a barbell. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Drag Curl
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a biceps exercise that is, there are 8 on the Biceps page.
What Drag Curl trains
How to do the Drag Curl
- Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell with both hands using a supinated grip (palms facing up). Your hands should be about shoulder-width apart.
- Begin by pulling your elbows back and curling the barbell up along your body, dragging it against your torso.
- Continue to pull the barbell upward until it reaches chest level, keeping your elbows back and close to your body.
- Slowly lower the barbell back to the starting position, maintaining control and keeping the barbell close to your torso. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your elbows back to ensure the barbell stays close to your torso throughout the movement.
- Maintain a controlled pace to ensure that you're using muscle strength rather than momentum.
- Keep your back straight and shoulders back to maintain proper posture.

Let the app run the Drag Curl for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
