Deadlift (Band)

Trains the hamstrings, with help from the quadriceps, lower back and glutes. You need a resistance band. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.

Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.

None of our programs use the Deadlift (Band)

It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a hamstrings exercise that is, there are 11 on the Hamstrings page.

How to do the Deadlift (Band)

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and place the resistance band under both feet, holding one handle of the band in each hand with your arms extended straight down, palms facing your hips.
  2. Hinge at your hips and bend your knees, keeping your back straight, lowering your torso until it is almost parallel to the floor.
  3. Press through your heels and extend your hips and knees to stand back up straight, bringing the handles up along your legs until you are fully upright.
  4. Repeat the exercise for the desired number of repetitions.
