Lateral Lunge (Kettlebell)
Trains the quadriceps, with help from the hamstrings and glutes. You need a kettlebell. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
How to do the Lateral Lunge (Kettlebell)
- Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. Hold a kettlebell in each hand with an overhand grip infront of your thighs.
- Step one foot out to the side, bend that knee, and push your hips back while keeping your opposite leg straight.
- Lean your torso slightly forward and lower the kettlebells toward the floor between your legs.
- Push through your bent leg to return to the starting position, then repeat.
Getting it right
- Push your hips back as you lower instead of dropping straight down.
- Keep your back straight as your torso leans forward.
- Keep the knee of your bent leg aligned with your toes.
- Inhale as you lower and exhale as you return to standing.
