Kettlebell Curl
Trains the biceps. You need a kettlebell. None of our programs use it yet, but you can add it to any session you build.
Free to use. The app works out every weight and times your rest.
None of our programs use the Kettlebell Curl
It is in the app, so you can add it to any session and log it like anything else. It is just not written into one of our 50 free programs. If you want a biceps exercise that is, there are 8 on the Biceps page.
What Kettlebell Curl trains
How to do the Kettlebell Curl
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a kettlebell in each hand by the handle with an underhand grip (palms facing forward), arms extended down at your sides.
- Curl the kettlebells up toward your shoulders by bending your elbows, keeping your upper arms stationary and close to your torso.
- Squeeze your biceps at the top of the movement, then slowly lower the kettlebells back to the starting position with control.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Getting it right
- Keep your elbows pinned to your sides and avoid swinging the kettlebells.
- Exhale as you curl the weight up and inhale as you lower it back down.
- Grip the handle firmly, as the offset weight of the kettlebell challenges your forearms more than a dumbbell.
- Use a controlled tempo on the lowering phase to maximize biceps engagement.

The app's swap picker ranks these the same way: same muscles, similar movement, similar equipment.
Let the app run the Kettlebell Curl for you
Durata picks the weight, times your rest and adds load when you earn it. That works on any of our 50 free programs, or on a session you put together yourself.
